Coaching with Questions

Presenter: Dale Emery
Date: Monday August 23, 2010
Time: 1:00PM - 4:00PM

One of the most powerful things you can do to help someone solve a problem is to ask great questions. However, crafting great questions is harder than it sounds. It's tempting to ask leading questions, or questions that carry a Trojan Horse payload of embedded advice. But the very best questions are those designed purely to elicit information about the problem, not offer hidden solutions. Such open-ended questions help people remember this forgotten information, look at it in new ways, and see new possibilities.

In this session, Dale Emery explores how to use questions as a powerful coaching tool, helping people access information they already have to find solutions to their own problems.

There is no cost to participate, but space is limited. To register, see our meetup page.
